How it works
Enter artists, stages, set lengths and time slots to build your festival lineup without clashes between the most important sets. The planner flags overlapping sets and helps you plan changeover times for a smooth flow of the audience.
Frequently asked questions
How do you build a music festival lineup?
Place emerging artists in the afternoon slots to warm up the crowd and headliners in the evening. Avoid scheduling artists of the same genre at the same time on different stages, and plan at least 30-45 minutes of changeover between the main sets.
How do you manage multiple stages at a festival?
Stagger the start times of the main stages by 15-20 minutes to spread the crowd and reduce movement peaks. The biggest stage should always host the longest show. Use clear maps and plenty of signage to guide the audience between stages.
How much changeover time do you need between artists?
A standard changeover takes 30-45 minutes for artists using their own backline. For headliners with elaborate stage production, allow 60-90 minutes. Stages with a dedicated stage manager can cut these times by preparing during the previous set.
