Event Timeline Optimizer

Order your event activities by duration and dependencies, get the total duration and see which activities cannot slip (the critical path).

Activities of the day

Write one activity per row with its duration. If an activity can only start once another has finished, say so in «Do after».

  • Available once you have filled in at least one other row.
  • Available once you have filled in at least one other row.

This calculation needs at least 1 activities: add 1 more activity.

The columns must be in the same order as the fields above, and they replace the rows already entered. A list in JSON format also works, if you have one.

How it works

List the activities of your event day, one per row with its duration, and indicate which ones can only start after another has finished. The tool orders the activities, calculates the start and end time of each one and the total duration, and highlights the activities that cannot slip without delaying everything else. You can export the result as a PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How does the tool optimise the event timeline?

It takes each activity's duration and the dependencies between activities, and schedules them so that every activity starts as soon as the ones it depends on have finished. It then identifies the critical path: the chain of activities where any delay moves the end of the whole event.

Can I say that one activity must come after another?

Yes: for each activity you can indicate which activities must be finished before it starts, for example setup before doors open, or part 1 of a workshop before part 2. The tool respects these constraints when ordering the schedule.

How many activities can I enter?

You can enter up to 50 activities, one per row. For each one you get its start and end time in minutes and whether it is on the critical path.
