Frequently asked questions
How many bottles of wine for 100 dinner guests?
For a 3-hour dinner with 100 guests, allow roughly 30-40 bottles of red, 20-25 of white and 10-15 of sparkling wine for the toast. Add a 20% buffer so you don't run out.
How much beer do I need for an outdoor party?
For a casual summer party, allow 2-3 beers per person for the first 2 hours, plus 1 for every hour after that. Take the season into account: people drink noticeably more cold drinks in summer than in winter.
How much water does an event need?
Allow at least 0.5 litres of bottled water per person at a conference (for the breaks) and 1-1.5 litres with meals. In summer or in warm rooms, increase the amount by 50%. Half still and half sparkling is the usual mix.
